Admission Requirements
- BS degree from a CLS program accredited by NAACLS and
Certification by NAACLS or ASCP, or equivalent (see below
*)
- Minimum grade-point of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) on the
equivalent of the last 60 semester hours or undergraduate
study, or the first 12 hours of graduate study
- For applicants whose native language is not English, a
minimum acceptable score of 580 on the written Test of
English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 243 on computer
version
- For international applicants, a degree comparable to an
approved US bachelor's degree in CLS does not require
applicants to submit scores from the Graduate Record
Examination (GRE)
*Applicants who do not have a bachelor's degree from a
NAACLS accredited program may also qualify for admission to
the program. Such applicants must have a BS in science or a
related field with sufficient coursework and professional
experience to demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory
science.
How to Apply
You must apply using the Graduate School Web
application process
on the Internet to complete the forms listed below.
- Complete the Division of Continuing Studies on-line application.
- Submit the completed forms via the Internet.
- Submit a narrative
via email of your professional history (detailing your experiences,
capabilities, and commitments) to the CLS Graduate Studies Program.
- Arrange to have official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended sent directly to the Clinical Laboratory Science Program at the addresses listed below.
- Arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly
to the Clinical Laboratory Science Program at the address
listed below.
- Copies of any certificates earned (ASCP, NCA, continuing education, etc.)
- TOEFL scores (if applicable)
